To Do List.

Let's see how much I can type while I'm waiting for my delayed flight.* I know already that I would love to just pass out on the plane right about now. I just bombed on this NY pastrami sandwich with cheese and mustard. *burp.

Anyways, I'll be returning to Seattle with these following things on my to do list:

Go running. * work off the Patron, the dim sum, the late night Chinese food, the 2 at Mc Donald's Time Square, the lattes, the dessert in Little Italy, the Cuban food....

Rest my lungs. * you know since one is vacation, one lit up.

Not leave my house for about a month. * thus I can not afford to leave my house unless it is to go to work. I did enough shopping. Saturday was an expensive day.

Eat at home.* because since one can not leave the house, one can't afford to eat out either.

Upload pictures. * some of my funniest picts were taken in the back of the taxi cab.

Kiss my Gabby. * seeing all these strollers and cute little babies made me all emotional and shit. I miss Gabby.

Unpack. * I fucking hate unpacking.

Shit. * I mean really shit. I think I maybe backed up here.

Sleep. * or try to.

Think about what's next.*I didn't get my Yankees hat nor my Central Park tree picture, nor my expensive sushi. Does that mean one needs to go back to NYC?

Check my bank account. * and then cry.

religion at the airport

If you've ever wondered what that mysteriously tucked-away, all-faith "meditation room" at the airport looks and feels like, we've got the inside scoop. At Detroit Metro, ilya and I got curious so we took a sketchy back elevator to a less-trafficked part of the airport, and found this windowless room.

Yes, those are directions you see on the walls. Chairs were sporadically arranged along the other three walls, and the room smelled, strangely enough, like cigarette smoke. In the corner of the room there were several prayer rugs and other religious paraphernalia. Not really a place to nap, as I've heard some people do. (In fact, there was a sign warning employees that this was NOT a "break room.") For true north directions, there was this, on the floor:

Another mystery solved! Have any of you ever been to an airport meditation room? An interesting thought as I fly, again, this weekend, to look for apartments in Evanston. What's the meditation room at O'Hare look like, I wonder?

Here is some advice

Don't go to Norway in May and expect it to be warm. IT SNOWED THIS MORNING.

Secondly, don't go to two parties in London between flying from Norway and onto Rome and Cairo. And perhaps do not drink a few glasses of Jim Beam and Coke.

Thirdly, the seats at Heathrow Terminal 2 are uncomfortable. :(
