The most common cause of gastroenteritis in dogs is due to a food borne illness. Immediate veterinary care is required to diagnose and treat gastroenteritis. Left untreated, it can be fatal.

Bacterial Skin Infection in Dogs & Cats

When an animal's skin is cut or wounded, there is an increased risk of infection. Pyoderma refers to a bacterial infection of the skin that is very common in dogs, but uncommon in cats. Lesions and pustules (inflamed pus filled swelling) on the skin, and in some cases partial hair loss often characterize the infection. Treatment is typically given on an outpatient basis and prognosis is good.

Acral lick dermatitis is a firm, raised, ulcerative, or thickened plaque usually located on the back side of the wrist, on the ankle, or between the toes. This disease primarily affects dogs, and most commonly large breeds, especially Doberman pinschers, Labrador retrievers, great Danes, Irish and English setters, golden retrievers, Akitas, Dalmatians, shar-peis, and weimaraners.

These two geese must have been 'identical twins' if thats at all possible, they were so in 'sync' with each other, it was eerie. Every movement made was perfectly duplicated by the other, or on the odd occasion - the mirror-image instead, it was simply remarkable and completely engaging to watch....
